Hotel Astoria Lucerne, Lucerne

My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were a little cozy considering the size of the hotel and the bathtub was a nice touch, but the shower was quite small for European standards. Unfortunately, the town itself seemed overpriced, and the hotel's restaurant and bar had poor service, with a significant wait time even just for a beer.

The hotel offers clean and modern rooms but lacks strength training equipment. The small rooms are located in a noisy area with no noise-canceling windows and provide a very poor breakfast experience. Despite the downsides, the cooperative service and helpful staff are highlights of the stay.

The hotel offers a good size room with clean floorboards and a large bathroom, along with welcome fruits, water, and a coffee machine. While possibly due to a tour group booking, the decor appeared outdated and very standard.

The hotel rooms were very organized and clean, providing ample room, yet the shower size was limited. Regrettably, the overall dining experience was below par with overpriced and gloomy options. Unfortunately, the service in the hotel restaurant and upstairs bar was slow, leaving much to be desired. On the bright side, the location was excellent for accessing key attractions, while being overcharged for meals was a common issue.

The hotel is conveniently located near the station and old town, making it easy to explore the main attractions. The rooms were spacious, but some felt outdated. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff readily available to assist. The dining options were satisfying, offering a variety of choices. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and a central location.
